In the contest of the ACTIVAGE Project - a “European Multi Centric Large Scale Pilot on Smart Living Environments”, registrations are open to the ACTIVAGE VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE DAY which will take place on wednesday October 21st, 2020 (see the program).
With the month of August, the installation and configuration of the infrastructure that allows to implement Business continuity between the Regional Datacenters of Ferrara and Ravenna, managed by Lepida, were completed. The last step was to connect and configure network and storage devices on two different DCs to activate synchronous data replication at storage level. The operation, opportunely planned, has allowed not to generate any kind of disservice to users.
Last June, Exscalate4Cov, the private-public consortium supported by EU's Horizon 2020 program for research and innovation, has announced an important result achieved with raloxifene.
By the in silico test, the consortium, consisted of Associazione Big Data and other 17 partners coordinated by Dompè Farmaceutici, has already tested 400.000 molecules made available by Dompè Farmaceutici and Fraunhofer Institute.
In the first part, during the virtual test, the priority was given to molecules actually on the market and considered as "safe in man".
The H2020 ACTIVAGE project, realized within the area of Internet of Things applications to support healthy ageing, has reached its final stage: many the initiatives carried out by the partners to consolidate the results, obtained through experimentation in 9 pilot sites, including the Italian one, through a collaboration with the Local Health Authority and the University of Parma, IBM, WindTre and Auroradomus.
WebinHealth is the new project funded by the CEI-Central European Initiative, thanks to the extraordinary call for tenders launched to contribute to the health and economic emergency linked to COVID-19, in a tangible and immediate way. The project starts in July and will terminate at the end of 2020. Lepida is coordinating the initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Albanian Health and the Medical University of Tirana. The objective of the project is to support the process of digitization of the Albanian health care system.
In the course of 2019 Lepida has migrated all the servers of the regional Open Data service within its Datacenters, also making a major technological upgrade. At the same time, the application was improved by updating the portal https://dati.emilia-romagna.it/ at the beginning of 2020, making it compliant with navigation from mobile devices and renewing its graphics.
Over time, the safety and protection of citizens has become a growing need for all member Bodies, which have often chosen the installation of an integrated camera system to monitor their territories as a prevention tool. With this in mind, in recent years, Lepida has developed the VideoNet platform, which has been completely revised in recent months, offering a centralized video management service for the institutions involved and allowing integrated management of the new security systems that are gradually being installed.
The Regional Law 7/2019 provides that the Emilia-Romagna Region, for the management of the production of data in its possession, issues specific measures in compliance with the necessary protection of the public interest it pursues. This means that it is not possible a priori to make the Region's data available to third parties, but that a special investigation must be carried out for each single set of data.
The pandemic triggered by the spread of the new Coronavirus has altered the habits and lifestyle of each individual and has inevitably raised the need to remodulate work modalities and activities. In this scenario, ANCI Emilia-Romagna and Lepida launched a co-spacing initiative to support those looking for a space to work remotely, equipped with connectivity and extra services, to facilitate the resumption of some public and private activities.
Starting from May 11th, the Emilia-Romagna Region has set the regional plan on serological tests. The coordinates of the plan require that the tests be carried out in a context of clinical appropriateness, therefore only upon medical request. The Regional Decree 350/2020, which traces all the phases of the screening program management, also defines a path of maximum simplification for employers who voluntarily decide to carry out serological screening on their employees.
