Strategic and Special Actions consist of three autonomous areas operating on the Ultra Wideband Plan (Piano Banda Ultra Larga – BUL), on the infrastructuring of Industrial Areas as provided by the Regional Law n. 14/2014, and on the study of Big Data Analytics and Open Data solutions and architectures.
The Branch Strategic and Special Projects launched the project IoT Network for Public Administration, available to both PAs and private citizens, associations, companies, aiming to allow the collection of data from thousands new sensors, placed at their own chosen positions, and to make them available both to their private owners and to any Public Administration service, for institutional and public-interest purposes.
Such activities are connected to an aggregate of strategies that vary over time, large enough to require a self-standing structure and properly dedicated resources, in order to guarantee the realization and achievement of its objectives.
The Lepida model for Big Data
In compliance with Regional Law 7/2019 on Big Data, Lepida has developed a model that changes the paradigm of use and processing of data within the Lepida domain. The model provides for the algorithm to reach the data, instead of having the data reach the algorithm. This means that the data is processed within the Lepida domain and, once elaboration is completed, it is possible to export outside the Lepida domain only the output of the elaboration, which contains suitably processed and anonymized data.
The data processing therefore takes place exclusively within the Lepida domain, with algorithms made available by the proposing party as data owner, remaining available also to the data controller, for every possible institutional purpose.
