The H2020 ACTIVAGE project, realized within the area of Internet of Things applications to support healthy ageing, has reached its final stage: many the initiatives carried out by the partners to consolidate the results, obtained through experimentation in 9 pilot sites, including the Italian one, through a collaboration with the Local Health Authority and the University of Parma, IBM, WindTre and Auroradomus. In particular, the action that will enhance, in the future, the value of the solutions produced is the establishment of the association ACTIVAGE.org, of which Lepida is a founding member along with other partners in the project, such as MYSPHERA and professors of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The association exploits the ownership rights of the assets created by the project, and will allow participants to maximize the investment made in resources and knowledge, becoming a reference point at the European level to promote innovation in the sector of Active & Healthy Ageing.
ACTIVAGE.org is structuring itself as a platform of aggregation of services that will support companies and public bodies to adopt the solutions best suited to their needs, in order to improve skills and competences related to IoT and AI issues, increase competitiveness, support networks and partnerships, improve services through the use and wider adoption of applications tested in different contexts. The association started its operations in mid-June by participating in 6 new project proposals in H2020 and collaborating in the realization of webinars related, for example, to the Transition after the emergency phase of COVID-19 to the new normal. The association will be officially presented to the European Commission on the occasion of the final event of the project, scheduled for October.
